Can employers still give bonuses to employees who are off on CNESST due to a workplace injury?

Due to abysmal safety standards and shit management, I've been off since early March with a thoracolumbar sprain. My unlicensed co-worker (who also has very little forklift experience, of which management were very aware of him not having a license or experience) came too close behind me with a forklift, slipped on ice and braked too hard tipping the pile of 15 high pallets onto my back as I was bent over wrapping a pile to be shipped. I heard from a friend who works there, that all the employees got hefty bonuses because of how well the company has been doing the past several months. I'm just curious, can employers legally give bonuses to employees if they want to, who have recently been off on CNESST due to a workplace injury? Or maybe they excluded me because I truthfully explained exactly how the accident happened in my workers claim…

Or maybe they excluded me because I truthfully explained exactly how the accident happened in my workers claim and now they might have CNESST up their asses for gross negligence. Is this whole thing a lot more serious than I'm anticipating?
