I'm about to reach the one-year mark of working for my current employer, and they're forcing me to find a new job. I've been an excellent employee, almost never called out, and never been written up; yeah, I've been late a few times and a tad more so this last month since I moved half an hour away. However, it's never more than 5-10 minutes.
The last time I was late was because it looked like the schedule said I came in half an hour later than I should've, so I think that might've been the straw.
My point is that no one sat down and talked to me about corrective behavior or disciplinary actions outside the last time I was late. (hence no write-ups)
I have been getting fewer hours as of late, but now I only have one shift all week, and I've already been struggling financially.
Is it possible to sue them for doing so?
