Can Landlords Get Wages To Increase?

I’m proud of what great work this subreddit has done so far in bringing to light low wages for our hardest workers. As a property manager, several of my tenants have been struggling with rent increases the last few years. Collectively, landlords need to form some type of a “union“ so that we can get our tenants wages increased, because if they can’t afford rent, we can’t afford to cashflow the mortgages, the housing market collapses, taking the rest of the economy with it and nobody wants that.

I put union in quotes because landlords obviously can’t form a labor union but we have to do something. Our livelihoods depend on employers raising wages to keep up with inflation or they can’t pay the rent. The greedy business owners are causing far more harm than just to their employees.

I propose some kind of a boycott system, where landlords collectively agree only to shop at employers who are paying fair wages and increasing those wages to keep up with rents and inflation. Any ideas on how to form something like this? I may ask my assistant to form a Facebook group or a tiktok or something to start the conversation and call to action.
