i live in california and i work as a retail associate at a clothing store, recently my store manager started changing times on our time cards to avoid a 5hr meal violation. On a day where i was supporting another one of our stores and worked 6 hours before taking a lunch, she changed my hours so it looked like i went at my 5th hour instead. i had already seen the added hour for my meal violation (we are supposed to be compensated with an additional hour of work for having to take a late lunch).
now i have documents proving she changed my hours, my question is, is this legal? what can i do?
