Hi. I'm in England.
¡ have an 8 hour contract (per week) and due to my physical disability I struggle to work much more than this as it causes me severe pain. I'm ok
to do 9 or 10 but any more and I'm in really bad pain. I usually do a shift length of 4 or 5 hours max. My managers are fully aware of this. I've only had the job since end of April and the past month and a half they've been great at accommodating me. However due to high demand of business
time and 3 members of staff leaving since I started, my rota for the next week is for a lot more hours than 10 . I have told them time and time again I don't want more hours and I've been
essentially told I'Il have to work the extra hours next week as most people are working 30+ and working at least 5 days. I've been given three
shifts, 2 I don't mind working as it fits my normal routine with them but the extra one is longer than I normally work and I've been told I'll have to work
it.
Is there anything I can do?
