Hey guys, Long time lurker first time poster (mainly because i thought my job was cool enough to not have me post here)
I work a shift based office job and we have a specific shift that is work from home. Now recently i've had a condition pop up that leaves me in a great deal of pain when i stand/walk around. I've been to a doctor and they've said i need surgery. Now because i'm not a complicated surgery i'm not immediately able to be operated on. However I can't get to the office because of the pain. Docs will get me a date for surgery in a couple weeks. I have everything i need to do my job at home i have asked my management if i can continue working from home as they do for the late shift because sat at my desk at home i'm ok i can function. They've said I must come into the office forcing me to go onto sick leave (i'm in the UK btw). This could result in me getting a disciplinary. (also i should note there are complications that can happen with my condition that could cause it to need surgery within hours or be life threatening)
