Cant afford to work, help

I'm in a position where my family gets about $800 per month of food stamps. But to stay qualified I need to be making less than $22. I could be making $25. but that would be a net loss after losing the food stamps. I need to be making like $28 to break even with the food stamps loss and $30. would be a slight improvement to my life. I am thinking of quitting my construction job and working at a hardware store or even a fast food restaurant that I can walk to to cut my expenses that I cannot afford anymore.

Is this a good idea or should I just quit, take the kids out of daycare and be a stay at home dad? I dont think that would be in my kids best interest though but IDK what else to do.

TLDR: Cant afford to work for $25. but maybe I can afford to work for $16
