Got my degree after 5 years now I’m working as a receptionist. My shift times range from 12:30-9pm, 9-5:30pm and 7:30-4pm. Pay is slightly above minimum wage. I’m exhausted after the 4th day in a row. I feel like a zombie. Sometimes I work until 9pm and have to be at work the next day for 7:30am. My commute is about a half an hour.
I’m 26 and I did not think this is where my life would be at this age. I want to get my masters but how can I pay a mortgage and bills and what if I don’t get in.
I thought things would be better.
I’m not sure if I’m looking for validation, just for rant or what. But yea, this sucks.
