Can’t use pto if you’re sick

My job requires a 48hr notice before using a vacation day(PTO) forcing you to be given points. Wreck? Points! sick? Points! I guess next time I’ll ask my body to give me a 48hr notice so I can tell my job or I’ll let them know two days in advance before I get into a wreck
