I started this job very recently and I do enjoy the actual job so far but there’s been stuff that has been happening that has been so stressful to me and giving all this anxiety. I posted about this on here before but I have been getting text messages from my boss and a shift leader and it’s been so stressful to me, getting all these messages when I’m not working. Recently the boss texted the group chat (which I never wanted to be in in the first place) that he was recommending a certain date for a mandatory paid work meeting. I never respond to those group chat messages but he said if anyone can’t make it to let him know, otherwise he’s gonna schedule the meeting for that day. I lowkey kinda had that happen today with an interview and honestly I really had nothing to say to that other than my past jobs were really shitty jobs and didn’t pay enough 🤷‍️ Every job I hopped from I got paid more and essentially a better work/life balance. I probably could’ve defended myself but what the job was offering wasn’t what I was wanting so I decided to rescind myself from the interview and ultimately give up trying hard for it lol. Hi Antiwork peeps. I'm in the process of moving from East to West coast and I've been offered an AMAZING job. Paid time off, sick time, vacation time, health and dental benefits; essentially the package I've been waiting for to finally help me move over. But there's one problem… The pay caps out at 18/hr. In my last job, I was paid 23/hr and as nice as that may sound, I still struggled a lot with making ends meet (I lived in one of the most expensive states in the east coast). With a car payment, phone bill, student loan payments, etc. I just couldn't manage it all. I want to ask for at least 23/hr again since I know how to get by with that. Also, the position I'll be hired for is actually for two positions combined into one. I feel like I have the right to ask…

Back in Jan I wa carjacked. I was hurt pretty bad, but got my car back at least. But the deductible is 2500, I can rent a car through uber whom I also drive dor for 869 a week… it will take a couple weeks to fix my car. So around 4250 ( insurance etc for rental). I went back to work driving for uber this week even though my Dr says I shouldn't. But if I want to make the money to get my car fixed. I have to. My car is legal to drive, so no worries about that. But I now have ptsd on top of cptsd. A shoulder that will eventually need surgery. And no idea how I'm going to feed my family or pay bills or even put gas In my tank to fucking work!

I hate how this fucker literally spent the entire entire not asking me a single question about my background and one hour after the interview I get a rejection letter. Fuck you. And fuck this thing of no one wants to work. 150+ applications since January 2022, 3 mental disorders I have diagnosed and I am so close to doing something stupid about my suicidal ideation I think I hit the brink of insanity due to the amount of punches I have taken. I had an attempt days ago and got sent police and EMTs to my house and everything because of the job search and not having a network. God I just need help

The HR Coordinator told me to download Telegram for the interview process, no question of my personal timing or availability, whatever, ok, maybe niceties come next. Nope! She was straight up expecting me to have an interview on the spot over text. It included the phrase “when you have finished reading each paragraph, please send the word 'done.'” I'm sorry, what the ACTUAL fuck. If I wanted to feel like a machine, I would stay in my current position.

So, i recently applied for a job at a local cnc lathing company. i've had 3 phone interviews so far. not one of them has been on time. 2 of them called me over an hour early, one called 37 minutes late. they scheduled my 4th interview, then cancelled same day i was supposed to go in. scheduled another. cancelled again. and now i have yet another scheduled at 1pm Monday. should i even bother at this point? they are only paying $15 p/h. i am 110% sure if i didn't even show up 15 minutes (or earlier) i wouldn't even be considered. should this be raising red flags?

Has anyone else had to work a 12 week notice period? I'm 6 weeks in and feel it's unreasonable to expect someone to operate at a high level when they made the decision to leave so long ago.
