Decided to quit my job. Boss asked if theirs anything he could do to get me to stay. I said a raise. He talked to his boss. Came back and said he couldn't do it. He hired a guy to replace me. New guy is getting paid the amount I asked for. I've Been here over 2 years. I'm a little upset about this

Not my story, my coworkers at my last shit company I quit a while ago So my friend, we’re gonna call him D, was making $18/hr as a Customer Support Specialist at a small tech company. Thing is, he’s a fucking genius. And he was not customer support, he was coding, did QA, literally the only person at the company who had the skills of an engineer at the time. He was 23. One day he told our boss he wasn’t coming to work again until they gave him $100k and a QA engineer title. Our abusive boss laughed it off and was like “he’ll be here tomorrow.” Nope, wasn’t there tomorrow. Or the next day. Or the next day. Quit without notice
realized this morning that I have quit 3 separate jobs, with a total of 28-hours notice between the 3. I’ve double my salary 3-years running, and have absolutely 0 regrets. Don’t get locked in at a place you hate just bcs you’re scared to make a change!!
