This is from a few years ago… I was working on the floor of a warehouse when a temp worker (he was black) came in one day with auburn dyed hair. Management flipped their shit (mostly white) and told him to go home and cut it. He did. Only for the next day to show up and be terminated. Why you might ask? because it was considered a no-call no-show… even though MANAGEMENT told him to go home. And since he was in his first 6 month probationary period, he could legally be fired for any reason. I was fucking appalled and knew then that I couldn't work there long term

Blah blah blah. WTF THEN THE MAJORITY RULES– ITS NATURE. The popular opinion- that work f*cking sucks and holds us to unrealistic realities (MHM worker bees, you read that twice, it is an oxymoron that obvious that yall are fighting for)– ALWAYS wins! If not by democracy and government and a system literally set up to say “the majority wins”, then by SHEER FORCE ALONE. Our species did, can, and likely will, survive once corporations die off again. Money is an illusion that we are now forced into needing to survive. Except we don't need it. We never did. We are animals people, primates. They eere here without money, we were here without money, stop letting it cause SUFFERING to people. Especially when these people are in our community. The richest person is only as strong as our collective, interspecies “weakest link”. WHY THE HELL ARE WE MAKING OURSELVES COLLECTIVELY…

I worked for a private college. Every year we got a 3% Cost of Living raise. One year they announced that we would be getting our 3% raise, but only for 6 months of the year. So, 1.5%, right? Oh no! They responded. 3%. But for 6 months.

I just need to vent, is that okay? I work in customer service, and unfortunately for me, I have to rely on other people to get my job done every day. For example, if I needed to get a restriction lifted, I would have to call a support number, tell them the issue, just for them to tell me they can’t help and have to transfer me to a “specialist”, and then I end up waiting on hold listening to the same shitty hold music for OVER 2 HOURS AT A TIME!! And it’s not like I can just hang up and redial, I’ll just get shoved to the back of the call queue. Then I’ve wasted 2 hours. My job also requires me to answer incoming calls, so if I’m on hold for 2 hours, I miss 5-10 calls during that time. I asked why the wait was so…

I am a software engineer and get lots of recruiter messages advertising various openings. Sometimes they say, “If interested, please reply with your resume and contact information.” I'm thinking, “My LinkedIn profile is exactly what will be on my resume, can you not just download a PDF of it from LinkedIn?”.
