For context my sister boyfriend and I work at the same gas station. I only pick up winter hours since the concrete company i work for cant give me enough hours. Last week i had to call in due to the passing of my bosses father. I called in over 36+ hours before my shift. My boss for the concert company asked if I could run everything while he is gone. I wouldn't say no as that would have put us behind since we had three days of good weather in a row. The boss at my part time job said alright my shift was covered. Sunday The day of my “covered” shift she called me asking if i could come in. Luckily I rearranged my schedule and my schedule to make it work. All while im doing the job of 3 people for my full time job. Monday rolls…

Because here's my situation: So a while ago, I looked on my credit reports and noticed that my student loans were listed. Now I left this alone for a while because my loans have been deferred for some time now. I haven't graduated yet due to unique circumstances, so I didn't think it would affect my score. And then the other day, I looked more into my reports… I can now see that one of the reasons my future applications for credit can be denied is due to me having outstanding loan balances. That reasoning was not listed when I last checked. But I don't have outstanding loan balances. My student loans are deferred and all of my other debts on the reports are paid off. No other loans are listed. I am currently in the process of correcting this. And I don't want sympathy, I just want as many…

Got written up at work the other day over stuff that A) literally EVERY employee at my ex-workplace does, B) nothing even a little bit bad happened to any clients or staff as a result of my actions, & C) I proved that at least 1 item on my boss's list of “grievances” wasn't even my fault to begin with. I've been busting my ass for these people for months, but for some reason they always single me out over the pettiest shit. Oh, did I mention I was the only openly queer person working there? Yeah, I'm sure that had nothing to do with it at all… I would've given them 2 weeks notice, but honestly, I think they've been trying to find some dumbass excuse to fire me & I don't want…
just another rant
I am a computer program programmer and I fucking hate my job, nobody gives a shit to I do what I do and I have no recognization whatsoever. my profession will be replaced by AI in no time. só fuck this shit. i have a fucking degree in computer science and I struggle to pay bills in the fuckin country that I live on. I still have one year to live of this misery.. but after that, I am done
Extra rules with no forewarning
Preliminary mobile posting excuse etc etc I've been at my workplace for a few years now, and recently discovered the staff handbook was updated last month. This shouldn't be cause for concern, except there are several major changes to the handbook/rules I was advised of when I started. None of these changes have been officially advised or discussed with myself and I believe have not been mentioned to other employees. Is this even allowed? Surely they would have to officially notify all staff and have us agree to these terms and policies if they had only been implemented AFTER we started employment?
Shitty co-worker
I was told by a co-worker that my agoraphobia was laziness and that a long standing health problem was just me getting out of work. I do way more than most the people at my job and it pisses me off to be treated like this. This is just a co-worker not management but I'm afraid that I'm going to get fired eventually cause of my problems. I've been out for almost a week throwing up everyday and I dont want to go back cause I don't want to get shit for being sick
Holiday request
August 2021, I requested vacation time off for March 2022. Today my boss said I am not approved for vacation. Since I’m not approved I got a legitimate doctors excuse to have that week off. Now legally she can’t deny my time off. This sucks that I have to resort to such petty methods to get proper holiday time off.
Let’s say you work fully remote for Company A. Then Company B offers you a new job. Also fully remote. What if you just didn’t tell Company A that you started with Company B? You slowly stop attending Zoom meetings, you just keep telling your manager you are busy with projects. Call in sick. Find ways to buy time. When in reality you’ve now started fully working for Company B. I feel I could squeak out a month or 3 before Company A actually calls me out and fires me for not meeting productivity requirements… so what I’m saying is, I could receive an extra pay check or 3 out of Company A before they are forced to fire me, while at the same time getting paid by (and actually working for) Company B. If I don’t care about burning bridges at Company A, what other repercussions could there be?…
