I work in a call center. One of my co-workers/desk neighbors went home with a fever last Thursday. I found out later that her BF had been sick for 5 days prior to this. I felt like I was coming down with something on Sunday, but weekends I get to WFH, so I pushed through. I was too sick to work Monday and called out. My other desk neighbors all got sick Sunday or Monday. Tuesday one of my desk neighbors texted me to tell me they had been contacted by work to advise they had been exposed to Covid. I have still not been contacted by my employer. I got my test back today, Positive for Covid and my wife and kids are all already sick. I spent two years quarantining and it gets undone by a careless coworker.
Oh, and when I do feel well enough to return to work, my employer will want me in the office, but to wear a mask all day while I am on the phone. Oh, and the coworker who got me sick was wearing a mask in the office, so clearly that didn't work so well.
