CEO claims “good pay” then wastes my day by offering min wage

Some back story: I am a student in Bcom taking my undergrad. I am taking some advanced finance certifications outside of class that would normally only be taken by people well out of university to boost my chances of a good job outside of school. Very overqualified for this position. The story: I follow a Linkedin influencer on my feed who is a successful alumnus of my school and runs an e-commerce business in my area. He preaches things about being a great boss and how to build teams and what not which is why this is so ironic. He recently posted on LinkedIn for a fulfillment position that he stated would be great for students and has “GREAT PAY” flexible hours and “free socks” (wow so cool). I looked up to this guy as a fellow entrepreneur and decide to DM him asking for more info on the position…

The story:

I follow a Linkedin influencer on my feed who is a successful alumnus of my school and runs an e-commerce business in my area. He preaches things about being a great boss and how to build teams and what not which is why this is so ironic. He recently posted on LinkedIn for a fulfillment position that he stated would be great for students and has “GREAT PAY” flexible hours and “free socks” (wow so cool). I looked up to this guy as a fellow entrepreneur and decide to DM him asking for more info on the position and what the great pay was. He said he would have an associate email me about the job info and they did. No word on the pay of the job description. The associate offered me an interview which I assumed was online because it was a google meets thing (most if not all of my interviews have been online although I have nothing against in-person interviews). Turns out it was at the office, ok cool I get to interview life, a bit out of my way but for a good-paying job and cool boss that I look up to that's fine. I show to take the interview and do great from my perspective. (I am very overqualified for this). In the end, they ask what if I have a question and I ask what compensation is. The audacity to say MIN WAGE. I almost started laughing. (Note: I am a total capitalist and believe min wage should increase but is not to be considered “good pay”, would not be writing this if they didn't try hiding the pay and saying that it was “good pay”) They also added to their answer and said that during the holiday season that they would be “increasing it” (totally cap and they probably woulda increased it by a dollar if anything) red flags everywhere.

Anyways I am now writing an email asking for them to take me out of their hiring pool because our definitions of “good pay” do not align. Super respectful. I am literally copying an email layout that my friend got when he was not selected for a coop LMFAO.

In short:

Said position was “good pay” hid pay from me, made me take time out of my day to go to their office and then got offered min wage.

Does anyone think I should write an email?
