Charging me to pay YOUR employees overtime!?

Just a rant about crappy employers trying to get me to meet the pay gap… I had a car breakdown a month ago which caused oil to spill on the road. I contacted the local authorities to notify them and they came to clean it up. It was 1 am before they came out. I have this morning recieved a notification from my insurance that I was “in an accident” The council are trying to charge me £150 for SAND. Except, they're actually charging me for calling someone out, out of normal hours and wanting me to pay the overtime. I pay council tax and road tax surely one of these should contribute to these costs. Thankfully my insurance wont pay out as I've stated it was a breakdown not an accident so it wont go down as a claim NOT THAT IT SHOULD ANYWAY. But I still have to…

But I still have to pay the council to get the “claim” fully removed from the system.
