Check your state Laws when leaving a Job

I'm in California, where we have a little more protections than many states, but I was laid off with no notice. I'm in California, where we have a little more protections than many states, but I was laid off with no notice. Basically told about noon to finish up what I'm doing, go through a checklist to give the company back my computer and any property I might have, sign some paperwork grab my stuff and go.

They deposited that day my remaining vacation and 5 days of pay that I was owed since the last pay period.

Of course they messed up on my vacation and paid me out for 20 hours less than what I had, and they messed up on the last 5 days, as they paid me for $0.30 less per hour than what I actually make. All simple mistakes any component HR would not have made.

In California if that isn't paid immediately upon termination then they have to pay me an extra 8 hours a day until they pay me for the money that's owed, up to 30 days. So now I have the choice I can tell him right now, or I could wait a few weeks, then tell them and get an extra few weeks of pay.

Whatever to do.
