As part of my company's Hybrid Work policy, they are now instituting “Community Days in an intentional effort to ensure employees are present and not in calls/meetings for the majority of the days in office. This will provide more time to collaborate and connect with coworkers/management, since networking & connecting with our colleagues is invaluable.“
Appears Community Days are set by location; typically either Tuesday & Wednesday or Wednesday & Thursday. The Hybrid policy is 2 days in office / 3 days WFH.
This doesn't apply to me, as I have always been 100% WFH for this company. In defense, I can say I work for a very large corporation, and post COVID they have offered the option of Hybrid to most all positions that are able (non-production). But from my perspective it seems to be yet another small move towards return to office. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it. Anyone else experience something similar?
