Companies’ requiring formal education may exacerbate wealth inequality and socioeconomic injustice

Employers and hiring staff have gotten more and more elitist. They increasingly require that “You need accredited education”—not self-teaching. Meaning: They want you to pay the $20,000+ to go to a bootcamp and/or college. Using accredited educational institutions as filters for job candidacy hurts society’s most vulnerable people and inhibits their social mobility. It subjugates them to an educational cartel that makes qualifying for a job (and/or escaping poverty) even more cost-prohibitive.
