Last night I saw an ad for a storage company that gets you to use your own personal property to rent out storage space for other people. I'm mad at companies (Lyft, Air BnB and the like) for taking advantage of people's stuff and making it sound like they're doing them a solid. Let's exploit what people have to our financial gain. Think homeowners insurance will cover any damages to that paid rental space if there's a flood or fire, or if the renters stuff brings in pests? Cab companies that don't own their fleet, hotels that down own property, rent out your pool for parties or your yard for dogs. People are making these companies rich and getting the shitty end of the stick.
