For the record, I’m not a remote worker. I work remotely on occasion. However since Covid many people at my company have worked remotely full time.
In the last few years, the company has reported record profits.
Management held a meeting where they talked about return to work for all remote workers. The reason given was “to promote better collaboration” and “return to normal”. Oh, also they said during virtual meetings cameras should be on. Fuck that. If you’re going to schedule hours long virtual meetings, you better believe You’re not going to have my full attention as I’m trying to get MY work done.
If I’m a fully remote worker at my company, I’m pissed and quitting for another job as soon as I find one.
