Company is looking for new hire, but won’t provide basic details

Yesterday I noticed a company advertising for a position I was somewhat interested in. I have a very secure job that I enjoy, but thought I might apply anyway. The advertisement was very vague and devoid of coven some very basic info. So I emailed the company and requested the info (salary range, hours, duties etc.). I got a response telling me to submit an application and THEN they would provide these details. I emailed them back and said I wasn’t going to jump through all the hoops of applying just to get basic info about the job and that the fact they won’t even tell me after I politely enquired was a major red flag for potential candidates. They replied one more time and said my feedback was noted and that I did not have to submit an application “if it’s too much effort”. And then still didn’t answer…

Needless to say I won’t be applying.
