So I've been job hunting for the past ~3 months. There's this one company that I find irritating. Here's a list of the things I have done for them:
- Initial screening
- Drove 5 hrs for technical assessment & completed assessment
- Submitted docs (birth certificate, driver's license)
- Fingerprints scanned (they have not reimbursed me yet)
- Resubmitted my resume with revisions to reflect recent training.
The security part is because this company is partnered with the military (that's fine). So I asked the head of the company when will I receive a job offer and that I refuse to do anymore and he says that I “have to make my resume look good to the military”. I am sitting in my car appalled. He even had the audacity to say that “I should take a step back and think if this is a job I want”.
It gets better. He even stated they invested so much time to get me where I am in the process.
I want to cry.
