I have been looking for more stable work than my current contract and I came across a graphic design position with more pay, benefits and overall pretty promising. I went to the interview to find out it was a receptionist position? I had double checked the posting before the interview and yes, it was GRAPHIC DESIGNER position with all the experience and skills listed. The boss litterally gave an excuse that “you know there aren't that many actual art jobs out there”
I have been an art director and lead illustrator at my company for three years, I have a bachelor's degree. No shade to receptionists but I did not go through four years of school, build a portfolio, have 4 years for actual job experience to have to hand my CV to people who apparently deliberately lie on job postings just to catch somebody in a tough time. Fuck you, if you want somebody to answer phones for you, don't advertise it as a completely different job
