I've been sick with the flu or some other really bad cold for the last 3 days now, and today is the last day of work before our company takes a week off for the holiday season, company policy dictates that whoever isn't present the last day before a holiday will not be compensated for the holiday break.
So here I am, out of PTO ( used my last bit of time wednesday/thursday) with a 101° fever and throwing up. I'm masked up, but I don't imagine people still feel ok with me working around them, days before Christmas coughing my lungs out. I'm not sure really what the point of this post is but I think this is a really bad policy to stick so hard with. And I'm very frustrated im not at home sleeping this mess off
