I know this seems super small, and there are a ton of bigger and more immediate problems, but today my employer sent a company-wide email (to about 10k people) announcing the new “human capital management platform” that they want us to use. Maybe it’s just me, but I find the words “human capital” to be disgusting. We are human beings, not a building or printer or whatever.
I talked to someone I know in HR and brought it up, and she argued with me about it! “But that’s what it is! You can’t get mad for someone calling something what it is!” eyeroll
It just put me in a shit mood on a Monday morning. Thanks for listening to my rant.
