Conference runs 10 hours a day but boss laughed at me when I asked about OT

3 day long conference programming scheduled 7am-8pm, boss said since I’m salaried I can’t get overtime. Seriously this is BS. Anyone sent a strongly worded email to higher ups with success??? If they don’t im gonna take a 2 hour nap at lunch 🫠
