I am being made liable for damage to equipment I never agreed to take personal responsibility for. Damage was not due to any careless or reckless use. I’m being told my wages will be garnished to pay for repairs.
This employer pays overtime but not on payroll. He pays normal wage for overtime under the table. I currently have 8 hours unpaid overtime.
I suspect my employment will terminate with refusal to pay for damaged equipment.
I’m asking the group if if any laws are being broken, what they are, and where I can report the infractions if necessary.
