Peer does not show up to work or take work remotely for 2 months, both manager and director start calling me to figure out where my peer is and I cover for him explaining maybe he's sick, or on PTO. They are not pleased and ask me to cover. Np
Week later after I rollout all equipment he connects a few cables and connects a remote tech to a system and is hailed as a genius, perfect employee, and thanked by everyone from leadership and other groups. I am so confused as honestly he does very little, I am breaking my ass and I never get that type of curtosy.
Love the employer and team but ffs why not thank the people doing 2x as much or that are avail when you need them and don't disappear for 2 fucking months. It's like being shit on.
