I keep seeing this same car seat manufacturing company in my town hosting multiple job fairs in order to hire production workers. $19 CAD/hr, with consideration for benefits after 12 months… From what I’ve heard, they try to keep people “on contract” to avoid giving them benefits to as long as possible. And they wonder why they need to keep having job fairs. There are other manufacturing plants in the area that offer guaranteed benefits after 3 months. It’s asinine.
