Hi, I work at food retail.
I have quite a few frustrations.
Today, our manager said to me, that for tomorrow I have to cover for the manager's and one Supervisor's paperwork time that they are doing during their shift… Although it would be my day off, I was told to come in.
I couldn't say no as I feared the retaliation.
My question is,
– why do I have to cover for someone's “paperwork” time?
– If I have to work regardless of my choice, then why was I given the day off? Isn't the day off supposed to give me some rest?
