I caught COVID-19 at work on Sunday, still getting better
I didn't realize I was COVID-19 positive right away, I got sick but my mom didn't think I needed to test for COVID-19
Which was a bad idea because I went to work on Monday, was told to go home and that evening I tested positive
I went to a clinic on Tuesday and also tested positive
No big deal, but my boss is all bent out of shape
He doesn't have enough people working for him so when one os us gets sick, he freaks out on everyone else
I work at a UPS Store, the owener owns three stores in different cities/ towns but he doesn't have a lot of people working full time
My manager got COVID-19 after Christmas and we were severely understaffed for awhile
So all week, while I've been sick, he keeps calling me asking me if I'll be working later this week
I'm greatful I didn't get horribly sick but it didn't help my fibromyalgia at all
And since I still live at home, I was quarantined in my room all week
My boss just called today asking about tomorrow and Saturday's shift
Telling me the CDC doesn't need a COVID-19 negative test anymore before telling me a coworker wouldn't feel comfortable without a negative test
I mentioned I was waiting for a negative COVID-19 test as I live at home
Plus, I don't want to spread it at work
Pretty sure I got it at work
He actually asked me if my friends got me sick
No, I work and then go home, there is no time for friends or anything else
I'm glad I got sick because I work so much, I needed a break and I guess getting sick is how I get that break
A good rest is what I needed and while it took me getting sick to get it, I'm glad I have it
I don't understand how whenever we get sick, it's somehow our fault the boss doesn't have enough people to cover shifts
Harassing us every day, asking if we're better or ready to come in to work
That caused me more stress than being positive for COVID-19 did
