Covid negligence by management blows my mind

Two sundays ago, my manager had a known case of Covid in her house, her husband. She came to work Monday and Tuesday, didn’t tell anyone that her husband was Covid positive, and didn’t take any precautionary measures (no masks, no distancing). On Wednesday, she tested positive and went home. Upper management knew about her husband on Sunday and DIDNT TELL ANYONE THAT WAS ON-SITE WITH THE MANAGER. we work in a small, enclosed, shared space! It gets better! I had PTO for the following week to visit family. I tested positive the Monday night before I was supposed to leave. I lost 600$ in cancellation fees. OH BUT THEN. Then I tried to reschedule my leave for this week. They denied me because everyone has been in and out with Covid, so we are behind. Mind you, it was the initial case from my negligent manager that brought it into work… I had to offer to work this past weekend in order to get my pto approved to leave this Thursday. How infuriating.

I’m so pissed they didn’t tell us about the case in the managers household. But you know, I’m sure they kept that information to themselves because they knew it would disrupt the workflow to have precautionary measures around the manager. Too bad they crossed their fingers and hoped instead of doing anything. It blew up in their faces.
