Ok so I’m a nurse a family practice. In our office there are several work desk that the nurses share. They are not assigned but each nurse has one that she sits at daily if that makes sense.
On Fridays management comes around and hands out our paystubs even though we get direct deposit. We’re supposed to put these in a safe place.
Last Friday management handed me mine and I tucked it under some paperwork in my desk. It was unopened. I got a call from sons school that he needed to be picked up. I was flustered and left my paystub behind.
Long story short. My coworkers OPENED my sealed paystub while I was gone and have been discussing my pay.
Management is upset with me because I left it in my drawer. Ok fine.
Today my manager says they want to write me up for this because it’s caused so much drama in the office.
What to do? I’m on the verge of quitting after lunch. It feels like such a violation.
