Crave! Delivery service DOESNT CARE ABOUT IDAHO LAWS

If anyone has used this food delivery service then buyer beware…. I worked for this company for about 4 months and all of a sudden they cut me and ALL of their drivers as well as multiple other employees (“for downsizing”) without ANY NOTICE whatsoever. We worked through an app to take shifts and one day I went to pick up a shift and the app told me that i was no longer an employee. when i tried to contact the HR person they did not respond. Several days later i received an email explaining the situation (vaguely), and that i was one of the employees they let go of. the next day i went to go pick up my paycheck (because according to Section 45-606 Idaho Legislature) i was entitled to my pay the sooner of the next regularly scheduled payday or within 10 days of separation, and it…

I worked for this company for about 4 months and all of a sudden they cut me and ALL of their drivers as well as multiple other employees (“for downsizing”) without ANY NOTICE whatsoever. We worked through an app to take shifts and one day I went to pick up a shift and the app told me that i was no longer an employee. when i tried to contact the HR person they did not respond. Several days later i received an email explaining the situation (vaguely), and that i was one of the employees they let go of. the next day i went to go pick up my paycheck (because according to Section 45-606 Idaho Legislature) i was entitled to my pay the sooner of the next regularly scheduled payday or within 10 days of separation, and it had been 6 business days at that point. I was told they would pay me that Friday when the checks came out, which was 3 days away. So i waited. Then on Friday the company told everyone that it wasn't going to have any paychecks on Friday. NOT “in a few days”, NOT “next week”, it was just left undefined. So i took it upon myself to go to the business and see if i could talk with the HR person and pick it up the following Monday (10 days at this point) and i was told that she wasn't there, the checks would be there on Tuesday or Wednesday. i asked to speak with a supervisor and the GM came out to speak with me and at this point i wanted a documentation of what i was being told, so i recorded the conversation between him and I (which i have still). What he told me ABSOLUTELY FLOORED ME. His words, not my own, or interpretation, “I don't give a F*** about Idaho Law.” He also basically told me that he couldn't write me a check and that its not in his ability, “per company policy, er i dont know” he said.

I then left and emailed the HR lady after trying to call her again and received a response hours later telling me that she would drop of my check that evening and i could pick it up the following morning. I told her no, i would like my check tonight, as it is past the deadline according to Idaho state law, and when i arrived that evening there was no check and she was nowhere to be seen, nor had any of the employees seen her there all day. Mind you, this was almost 9pm. So i then left and returned the next morning. To which i was told that they STILL didn't have any checks for me or anyone else till Wednesday. So i go to leave and after driving back home and on the freeway at this point, i receive a call from the facility that my check JUST arrived “like 2 minutes” after i had left and i can come pick it up if i would like. So i did. Upon receiving my check, i looked at the amount and it doesn't have ANY tips whatsoever. The company uses a Tip-pool system and they divide the tips among those on the shifts they are on duty. I know the amount was short due to the fact that i keep all records of my shift times. I will also add that for WEEKS now they have failed to provide ANYONE with their paystubs (“due to the system they used has been having problems” said the HR person in an email) and i believe that i was one of the very few employees that requested them. Which were finally provided after several paychecks.

Im telling everyone this because im not the only employee that this company has done this stuff to and probably worse, but i AM however someone that wont shut up. This is unacceptable, and furthermore, the fact that you have a General Manager at a FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE company that says he doesn't “give a f***” about Idaho law” is something to be concerned about and aware of.

Please DO NOT continue to feed this company so they stick around. From the looks of it, and while i was there, it looked to be sinking. The “downsizing” was a great indicator as well. So just let them sink.
