I need an outside opinion on how to handle my job I've been working at for just about a year now. I work for a crime scene cleaning company that is highly unorganized, dangerous, and unprofessional. The owner of the company and my lead tech smoke thousands of dollars worth of crack and when I signed up for the job I was told we were to be paid after every job. I've worked jobs were the lead tech who is supposed to be in charge has been HOURS late to the clients house or property. They've sent me on jobs without too proper tools and ppe to complete my job but i need the $ so i risk my wellbeing. Then they always have excuses to not pay me or make me drive to go pick it up from their apartment after a long fay and their smoking and its just stressful. I've has 2 separate occasions where I've rode with my lead tech to a job and had to have her pull over bc she's nodding off on the road so I have to drive. I get no insurance so benefits at all. I don't even get a pay check just cash.. can't lease a new car because they can't present to me a receipt or stub proving I'm employed. Only letter saying I work for this company. Honestly… any advice would be appreciated. I had to get a night job bc even though I work the most terrifying disgusting jobs imaginable I only make 17-20$/hr depending on what the owner considers a biohazard is. So I work 10am-6pm traveling throughout the state doing this and then 10 pm-6am at a grocery store. Id almost rather just die or go to prison bc sick or working and suffering and never having enough money…Could I sue? Or something. Thoughts?
