I’m still the FNG at this place and as such I’ve been treading lightly around some of the long time guys. Let me say a few things up front. This is not a PC work environment. It’s all men and we are mostly over 40. At a recent meeting some coworkers were complaining about a schedule change. After looking at my schedule I realized that I was the only one not affected. I pulled management aside and offered to swap schedules with the guy who was crying the loudest. He was actually yelling at everyone in the meeting. Well after a couple days of thinking on it I changed my mind and let management know I was no longer willing to go through with the swap. They asked a few questions and I BS’d a few answers. In reality I realized this crybaby, who is supposed to be the manliest man their is, was throwing a temper tantrum like a toddler. I never tolerated that stuff from my kids and I’m damn sure not going to inconvenience myself to reward a grown man for that behavior. So forget it. I’m keeping my easy schedule. He can adjust.
