I'm 23 and work at Currys in the UK, I'm in university. I've been here for 4 years now and can't wait to leave. I thought working here was just going to be selling machines and TVs and getting commission on them, nope.
The standard workload for a currys sales rep, which only pays £11 and hour… includes: selling in all departments, selling in Computing we have 5 targets (tablets, computers, antivirus, cloud storage, setups) they want us to get these on at least 33% of what we sell…
I got absolutely grilled yesterday along with the rest of the team for not delivering on one day. And I am actively looking for other work. BEWARE currys is a target nightmare to work for… unless you actively like trying to sell extended warranties on kettles and toasters that doesn't cover accidental damage.
