If the company can not be arsed to pay you more, then fuck them. I used to work for a massive cinema chain, I worked 60 hours a week, 6 days a week, no overtime pay, no unsociable hours pay, no weekend pay, nothing.
I constantly worked my hardest, took shift after shift to help the team out, didn't even get a thanks. New person started, got rewarded in first week for 'hard work'
Fuck that.
I never looked back.
I quit
Never ever make more effort for a company that doesn't give a Fuck about you.
