Dear, companies. Stop asking for my number. I will not answer your calls.

Most jobs ask you for a phone number and an email when applying, which is reasonable. However, please add a preference. I use my email every day and will happily reply as quickly as possible. On the other hand, if you call me, it will blare through my headphones at an unsupportable volume and I simply will not respond. Not to mention that if your number is just a number, I will decline you, thinking you're a scammer. Additionally, a number of companies who've called me have sent emails anyways, and some have even tried to call again after emailing me and me replying to said email. What's the point of that? STOP CALLING ME! Use my email. Thank you. Edit: left out some details, needed to add them
