Denied a promotion because I haven’t been there a full year…

Hey everyone, I’m feeling fairly livid yet defeated. I’ve been at a job for 8 months, and in that time I have churned out insane amounts of work. I also started a masters program to enrich my skills at the job, often working 60-65 hour weeks to balance it all. With all of this, I took on twice as much as work as anyone at my level, came in with more experience than most people at my level, and have been constantly flexible in helping out wherever I can to gain experience and earn a promotion. Then I was told all I was getting was a raise lol. Oh and btw, my company hit $1bill in valuation this year. I asked why I didn’t get promoted and they said “well you’ve only been here 8 months”. I asked what I could do to get promoted, and she said stuff I…

I asked why I didn’t get promoted and they said “well you’ve only been here 8 months”. I asked what I could do to get promoted, and she said stuff I was already doing (and have been doing for two months).

So angry at how unjust this is. What do you all make of the situation?
