I’m a consultant and during the yearly review I was told that my visibility in the company is low.
That was the biggest factor to not promote me.
When I asked what I could do better next time. I was told to update my team (read the managers) what I’m doing exactly when I’m working
Keep in mind that I’m fully staffed on client facing projects that my managers approved and know that I’m at the customer all the time.

Starting from now I plan to schedule monthly meetings with all my higher ups and just tell them what I’m doing, going to do and all the challenges I face. Just to make them miserable for telling me that I should be more visible even when they know I’m doing my job well enough! And this should not be dealbreaker at all.
What are other idea’s I can roll out that will make them wish i was not bothering them and just do my job. Which is consulting and guiding my customers instead of simping my managers
