Okay so I decided to use this forum and look for some help and wondering if anyone can tell me if I’m being redic. I’ve been a RN for 3 years now. It’s been hell but very rewarding. My job in the past 6 months has driven me to insanity. I’m throwing up before shifts, I haven’t gotten a period in years bc of my implant and suddenly am bleeding excessively and my OB said it’s likely stress related. I feel unhinged. Crying at work, can’t keep it together, getting sick, etc. I just went into a benefit position and haven’t accrued any PTO yet so I can’t take time off without financially feeling it. I requested to go per diem and was denied. I’ve been applying and plan on starting a job with the state but background and fingerprinting takes 30-45 days. My dad told me to apply for disability, but I am unsure if that is even a thing? I live in NY and am banking on my healthcare worker bonus but who knows when that will come through. Has anyone filed for disability under these circumstances? All the love. Thanks
