Hi – if this post isn't appropriate for this sub please feel free to remove it, but I didn't know where else to turn.
I'm 16 and this is my first ever job – I'm a cleaner at a boarding school in the UK. All my coworkers are at least 40 years older than me. They seemed nice at first but keep making offhand racist/transphobic comments. It makes me extremely uncomfortable, and I want to call them out, but don't want all my coworkers to dislike me as this is a job where I work closely with them. Maybe that's just being cowardly? I don't know what to do, as management is of a similar age and haven't policed these comments before. I am also related closely to one of the managers and don't want to upend her workplace.
I don't know what to do and would really appreciate some advice :/. Thanks in advance.
