I live/work in the UK and frequently see comments regarding employers trying to ban the discussion of wages (illegally).
My employer does the same but after some research I’ve found it’s also illegal in the UK.
My question is that I work for a bank – they are subject to so many regulators that they have compliance/governance/legal teams coming out of their arse. There is no conceivable way that they do not know the law in this area so why do they risk giving this instruction?
