discussion on acting your wage

Hi everyone. I work in a precarious business. By that I mean. If I screw up one too many times I either get fired or worst case scenario I die or innocent people die. I was having a discussion with a Co worker about fair wages based on our risk exposure. In my opinion , my employer buys my skill set, my good judgment and my accountability. I'm not in a position where my boss gets to tell me what to do. It is pre established. I get in trouble if I don't follow rules and guidelines. I am a fervent union member and am very critical of my management team. A gym owner was recently bitching about his clean up crew. I told him to pay them more so they are accountable for their work. You get what you pay for. Always. My question are. What do you think…

A gym owner was recently bitching about his clean up crew. I told him to pay them more so they are accountable for their work. You get what you pay for. Always.

My question are. What do you think your employers buy off of you? Is it just time and effort to a mindless task that you have no interest of doing? What is acting your wage to you and how much more should they pay you for these qualities they desperately search for in employees. What is the internet definition of acting your wage.

Given the proper training almost any jobs cam be done by anyone. Short of pro athletes.
