A few weeks ago, my employer sent an email to all about quarterly earnings.
Basically “rah rah, we made so much money”.
This year, nobody's raise even matched the rate of inflation, forget exceeding it.
Today, they sent another email to all about “join this conference call for tips on navigating social security and medicare”.
Maybe I'm way off here, but if you're posting earnings like that for all to read, you gotta spread it around a bit better or you will lose people because they are disgusted with being underpaid while the company gets richer.
It's beyond disgusting, utterly tone deaf, and I cannot understand why an employer that claims to care about its people (yeah right) would rub their noses in it like this.
