So I was off yesterday and was getting off early today in order to make it to an appointment. Somebody no call-noshowed today and when my GM asked the DM for some help, he asked her why I couldn't stay. GM told him I had an appointment and so he went to say “well why didn't they make all their appointments on the same day?” as if I had any control whatsoever.
I may be a shift lead, but that doesn't mean my life has to revolve around my job. I'm tired of managers expecting me to drop everything just because an employee doesn't show up and forfeit me going to an important appointment. As if I can plan what days the dr has available for me…
