I work for a warehouse that has multiple locations in the US and across the world. I was asked to get on a forklift because we are short staffed and there was no other options. I am still training and have yet to be certified. I was left unsupervised and damaged a cooler but they were later able to repair it. Unfortunately because of the accident I was sent to be drug tested. I am certain I will fail due to my recreational use of marijuana. I live in a state where it is legal but my company is federally owned and has a zero tolerance policy. I was told to be honest with my general manager and they maybe be able to help me keep my job but this has recently happened to two other people and from all accounts both were honest and still were fired. After all this I'm not sure I even want to fight for my job but my question is do I have any other options in this circumstance?
