Basically I got hurt at work the other day, I fell down someone’s stairs on a delivery and sprained my ankle. Got back to work and let management know which they seemed to not care and told me to finish my shift.
Yesterday my ankle hurt so bad I could barely stand so I called out of work which they let me know I needed to find coverage for my shift and a doctors note. Like I said tho I could barely walk so I didn’t get to the doctors office until today. (2 days after the accident)
Went to the doctors they took X-rays and basically told me they don’t know if it’s fractured from this sprain or from 5 years ago with a previous sprained ankle that never healed correctly so they have to find the old X-ray and see if it’s a new fracture or old one.
Again I let management know but this time with a work note saying I can go back to work in a few days but as of now I shouldn’t be walking on it. My manger replied I need to find coverage again which yesterday I couldn’t since we only had 2 drivers off and neither of them responded but it’s the same situation today 2 delivery drivers off but neither of them are responding. Do I still need to find coverage or because I gave her almost 3 hour advance notice and a doctors note I don’t need to?
